I understand there are not the traditional 3 fingered C and G chords most teachers teach. This is a BEGINNER GUITAR LESSON. Do don't be mean about it. Not everyone can jump right into 3 fingered chords. 🙂

During the time I forgot my dream of learning to play the guitar because I couldn't learn to learn even by rehearsing on my own. because no one teaches and I am ashamed to teach others. besides, I don't have time to visit my acquaintances who know how to play the guitar. it's good to have such content for learning to play guitar. and I greatly admire her teaching. very clear, simple and easy to learn. I really like her. . little by little, i am learning. maybe I'm not good at playing. I can only play the guitar properly. this is a huge pleasure to me. Thank you so much. Keep it Up 😊

I have tried tuning my guitar again and again, rechecking my fingers where I have put the, strum the last 4 strings, but somehow, my chord C sounds different. Is there a reason for this?

  4. Mark Frey says:

Hi Lauren, I played guitar thirty five years ago. I had to stop after suffering a very bad injury to my left hand. I have lots of nerve damage and my left thumb dose not bend anymore, it fused in a straight position and is one half inch shorter. Anyway about three weeks ago I came across a beginner lesson video while I was surfing YouTube, not for guitar lessons, but I watched your video and it got me to thinking maybe I should try to learn to play guitar again? So I started watching more and more of your videos and decided to go out and buy a guitar and give it a try. I’m so glad I did and that I came across you. I’ve been playing for two weeks now and slowly things are coming back to me but I have to figure some different angles and how to grip the guitar as my thumb does not bend I have to use more pressure from the meaty part of my thumb at the base which changes some of the angles for my fingers. But I’m figuring it out as I go. Thank you for the way you show multiple angles and finger placement and close ups. You are a wonderful instructor! Thank you

    Hello,

    I am an old leaner.
    Learning an electric guitar.

I started using two fingers for every chords
However, I've seen videos of others, they are suggesting to use three fingers per chord.

    Bit confused!
Please advise, whenever you have time.
    Thank you.

    Atique

  6. J Zemens says:

I hate to be a downer… but if she plays an Em with the first finger, God only knows how she'd play an E chord. I get the four chord thing, but how far does it have to be dumbed down. Just sayin.

  7. シニアharu says:

Your Japanese translation is strange. I think it would be better to separate sentences into shorter
ones and translate them. Houever your lesson is very good.

  8. Blazed says:

I’m confused because everywhere else is telling me that G chord needs you to have a finger on the 4th fret of the first string and it also applies for the C chord, says that it’s 4th string 3rd fret, 3rd string 2nd fret and first fret of the second string.

  9. Tommy Daly says:

Easily the clearest visuals which makes a world of difference while learning online, and she understands what it's like for actual beginners, too many vids on here assume we're just picking up what they've shown us instantly. Almost none on Youtube take into account that we can't practice for more than as little as 10 minutes until some callouses develop, then 20 in a couple of weeks etc, Neck soreness for those of us who are older students…too many variables overlooked by 95% of the teachers on Youtube.

  10. HTSS8 says:

Also, at the end of the video, put all the those chord charts all on same screen to see at once. People can screenshot it to see afterwards while practicing.

Also the charts themselves need numbers in them that identify the finger in the ⚫ and in the white ⚪ for the strings.
