Well I certainly don’t have to introduce this one. “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard is perhaps THE quintessential 80’s hair metal song.

I would personally say that of all the bands of the 80’s rock era, Def Leppard is probably my favorite. They just seemed to constantly come out with unique sounding songs that always sounded different yet always sounded like Def Leppard.

When they released “Pour Some Sugar On Me” it catapulted the band to even higher popularity than their already massively successful career. “Pour Some Sugar On Me” is still a staple of rock radio today with it’s inventive production and masterfully layered guitar sounds.

In this Pour Some Sugar On Me guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of those guitar parts note-for-note quickly and easily.

Learning how to play “Pour Some Sugar On Me” would help just about any guitarist who wants to learn how to create guitar parts that combine to create legendary riffs in an incredibly musical fashion.

Guitarists Phil Collen and Steve Clark weave and impressive tapestry of understated yet memorable guitar lines throughout this classic 80’s masterpiece. There is simply hook after hook to be heard.

I will break each section down as they appeared on the original recording. I don’t think there will be too much to keep most players from mastering this song pretty quickly so if you are an 80’s rock music fan make sure you get it down right!

Good Luck!

Carl…

playing one note flat on the low e string in the verse … 😉 i hear it as power chord C sharp and 7th fret on the low e string… so c#, b, c#, b. not c#, a# as you show 😉 otherwise, thanks love your lessons 😉
