kinda out of practice on bar chords considering most of my preferred songs dont use them but I guess I am intermediate but I suck at fingerstyle and scale

  2. Michael Aho says:

This list is bullshit. I’m definitely not a ‘beginner guitarist’ but I don’t play fuckin bullshit pop. I play like, death metal and shit. I don’t need to know open chords to be an intermediate guitarist at my chosen genre.

No, I am not.! What I am is a Beginner, yet again.! LOL And a Beginner who should Stop Flicking through YouTube Videos and Watching Advanced Guitar Lessons like this One.! But I should Watch Beginners Guitar Videos.! Which I find that if you find One, to go to the Next Video.! You have to Search High & Low for Days on End to find the Next One afterwards.! Because YouTube has a Bad Habit of MIXING UP ALL THE VIDEO'S ON YOUTUBE.! 🎸

  4. The Monkey God Goku says:

If you've been playing for years but didn't know two or three things in this video, most probably, you have all the facilities to be an intermediate guitar player, you just have to study it a little time. Consider yourself at the boundary, like a character in a game that has 100 max level. You are already level 30 with full xp, but still has to collect enough resources to be level 31 and then be on your way to reach higher levels…

I would add one thing though: time signatures

PLEASE UNDERSTAND TIME SIGNATURES I am so tired of playing with wannabe prog guitarist after prog guitarist that writes a riff in 11/8 and has no idea what timing it's in and then also changes it to 10 or 12 just depending on how they feel

  6. Ricky Bobby says:

I feel like a beginner everyday for the past 16 years. I know my minor and major scales, notes in the neck. Inversions and how to make chords. I can play lead and rhythm. There is so much to learn. Arpeggios, tapping, etc etc. man

  7. ScotchIrishTarheel says:

The one sure-fire way to identify an intermediate guitar player is repeatedly playing "Stairway to Heaven" while "trying 'em out" at Guitar Center.

    – Beginners don't know how to play it.

    – Intermediate's know how (sorta), but don't know that they shouldn't.

And it's like garlic to vampires. It keeps everyone away from that area of the store.

  8. Vike Khatsü says:

As a self taught, i really wish i had someone to guide me… Would been a much better player by now, 8 years now and still learning by myself XD… Sad life.

  9. KCBC90 says:

Okay so I can confidently say I’m an intermediate player. Which is awesome because I’m completely self taught since I was 14. I’m still working on some scales but I have the pentatonic and blues down.
