Born in the U.S.A

I never thought this video is viewed in other countrys than mine (Germany).
Because of that i wanted to make clear:
Yes, “Musik” is spelled wrong in English, but it’s not in german.

Have fun listening to this fantastic government-critizising song.

This song has nothing to do with being proud to be American or born here this song Bruce Springsteen was trying to let the rest of the world know that America eats its babies figuratively and literally if you don't believe it then go to McDonald's and order you a breakfast sausage you'll figure it out .

For years I enjoyed this song and never paid attention to the lyrics as a kid cause I didn't understand as I do now. Many Vietnam vets were treated unfairly when they came home and this song describes how most of them were treated. Respect all your veterans they gave their lives for your freedom to criticize.

  3. sajid1979 says:

This song was for the Vietnam veterans which returned to the USA 🇺🇸 and were mistreated.

Trump had this song played at one of his rallies 🤨.

  4. Derek Alcorn says:

    BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A… BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A…BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A…BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A… I WA BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A…BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A…BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A…BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A… I WAS BOOOOOORRRRNN IN DA U S A…

"So they put a rifle in my hand, send me off to a foreign land…to go and kill the YELLOW man." Its more than just an anti-Vietnam war chant, it was a clueless rant about how he "feels" he's fighting racism in his own country without a clue about the causes and reasons for the Vietnam war. This was "virtue signaling" from a shallow performer that so often people ignore because the tune is so catchy and the lyrics so wrong about motivations of those who supported the war. If you don't understand this, go read "The Necessary War", "Dereliction of Duty", and all the SOG stories of how the war was won by bonding with the local tribes against foreign invaders from the North that most South Vietnamese despised. They willingly sacrificed their own lives to repel the communist invaders before LBJ's incompetence, de-funding by congress, and grotesque betrayal of the South Vietnamese people at the behest of the anti-War movement voters resulting in 1 to 3 millions lives slaughtered after the war. But that's OK to Bruce, because the killing fields were just Yellow people slaughtering other Yellow people.

  6. Benjamin Frazier says:

I have more reason to use this song than people on the far-right. Democrats have more reason to use this song than Republicans. I dislike Republicans just as much as Democrats. Lyndon B. Johnson was rather controversial. He might have been Smokin' Joe Biden's mentor all along! Johnson may have supported The Civil Rights Act of 1965, but he was, quite frankly, pretty damn racist. Correct me if I'm wrong. Some conservatives might prefer Johnson over Obama. They might have a point. Johnson's War on Poverty policy was mediocre at best in handling the issue of poverty.

  7. William says:

I have never met a Vietnam vet that I know of (my dad could have been drafted/joined at the end, but he was in school) and this song just makes me want to cry on all the lives fucking wasted and yet more ruined/traumatized on a conflict that had nothing to do with us.

WW2 lasted 6 years and we helped put Hitler and his regime in the ground, Korea at least prevented NK from being the whole peninsula, Vietnam was 20 years to accomplish nothing ultimately and probably made things worse for all parties.
