I had a few songs collecting dust on my desktop that I’d recorded but hadn’t posted for one reason or another. After posting the list on my last upload, these were the songs that were “requested”.
Oh Jesus, JesusLittle requested this one by “The Four Seasons” off of their “Who Loves You” album.
I don’t know who played bass on it but I’ve always liked the bass line. It sounds to me like it most definitely played with a pick, has lots of ghost notes and one really cool upper-register fill. I don’t think my version of said fill is 100% correct but it’s as close as I could get it.
There are numerous reason why I did not upload this one.

This was a song where the bass line always caught my attention, along with a few others from the same era. Pretty sure Don Ciccone (R.I.P.) played the original bass part. He was a very talented bass player, guitarist, singer and songwriter.
Hey you awesome so and so. I just got to this one. Its awesome. You know I love finding your hidden treasures. …well…not hidden. Treasures all the same. But I've seen in a few of your "descriptions" you mention a mysterious list of songs. Is that a real thing I can actually view? or is it something that you don't do anymore? Anyway, I keep forgetting to ask you, so now I am. Have a wonderful week Fonz.
You are a jewel Troy. I'm so happy you guys are so good to your mothe. Keep it up. You must have started playing the bass in utero. Marvine
You were just a baby and still played like a pro. You look so cute and precious. Thanks for sharing. Marvine 😉
bass player is don ciccone
Sick! What a beautiful job on this.
Great job dude!
Love to know how someone like yourself goes about learning cover songs? I’m 46, been playing since I was 12? I have a good ear, but not good enough to learn a song note for note. Do you learn by ear or do you read and memorize a tab? Thanks
Ok, I admit it. I'm binging on your videos.
Another great song. BTW – where is your Roundabout cover? Loved that one, but can't find it anymore …
I wonder if it was Carol Kaye playing bass on it?
Sounds good but a Fender jazz; where’s the Rickenbacker? Just kidding I’m a Fender guy myself.
Very nice job! Thanks for teaching me that ascending fill! You rule!
You play this great! Your bass sound is really poppin’ too!
What are "ghost notes"?
Well done!
the 70's had some fantastic bass lines…
Don Ciccone, I'm 99.9% certain.
Amazing job!! Thank you for sharing.
TY,,m8
Not smooth enough. Too much staccato. Right hand fingers shouldn't be so heavy. There's a guy on YouTube that nails it! Still…..good effort.
Great sound and technique!
Tip to play the fill?
Good relaxed left hand, and you nailed all the ghost notes. Great cover!
Dude, you are a MONSTER player. You are what I started playing bass to become. AWESOME!!!
