  1. Joe Mazur says:

Joe was a professor of mine at Berklee back in 2001. My question – how in the hell does he look younger now than he did then lol……looking and, as always, sounding great Joe!

  2. MAIDEN2 says:

I'm sorry to say this without picking pattern is not working to teach. And when you see close in slow motion, he changes picking patterns vereywhere, maybe three dowpickings follow with uppicking and is not sweep thing…. ???

  3. puyagonz says:

I love Yngwie but Joe takes up 2 notches and doesn't sound the same Everytime… and is Heavier. Pls don't hate, this is what I think. Dudes KILLER!!!

  4. David Kodym says:

There were moments in the solo I saw his left hand suddenly providing two more fingers. NIce lessons. Joe's speed playing was not intimidating at all, it really felt more like: "Thats where you go by the practice". Thanks

Sextuplets in 110 bpm is 11 notes per second. Since most renowned shredders are around 13-15 notes per second and some hit a ridiculous 16-18 notes per sec, up to 20 (which is almost unmusical), I would NOT call the 11 notes per second "pedestrian"….Just saying'….Joe has superpowers and he is more like "used" to them I guess…. I am clean around 12-13 notes per sec, playing on my limits consistently around 14-15 notes per sec and around 16, shit hits the fan…So, yeah, not "pedestrian"…….
