    Keeping your hips a bit off the bench with the fabric touching is actually better if your goal is to impress the "how much ya bench" people or just to bench heavy. If you're a bodybuilder doing a chest workout tho, it's fine simply keeping your butt down.

    I can’t find a spotter so now I just use lighter wieghts. When I go to the gym my friends are busy with sports or schoolwork cuz swimming got canceled so I’m gonna get build less now. Covid ruined everything

    It sucks having really bad social anxiety, I don't want to bother anybody so I've never pushed myself past 185lbs :
    Also have been working out for about 10 years have been able to get my deadlift up to 400 and squat mid 300s but yeah..I don't think I've ever benched more than 185

    My shoulders were always sore until I did the 45* angle. Now I don't have any problems. It might not affect you if you're under 30, but it will when you get older.
