Honestly this video is really great at explaining it. I personally learned it on my own over the period of like 4 months because no video i could find was actually helpful. But already knowing how to play it at this point this video explains perfectly what i couldn't put into words

This song is ridiculous. I'm not sure if I have ever spent this long at a 'simple' repetition riff. Getting this up to speed without tensing up feels like a great exercise too
It took me 3 lazy years as a hobbist guitarist to reach this video and successfully pull this off along learning concepts as scales, triads. Never give up.
I find as I'm trying to learn this that I really emphasize the first downstroke to help me keep time. However, I almost feel like that's sacrificing some of the speed as I'm overexerting my wrist. Should I keep all the notes at the same emphasis and be more relaxed to help me get the riff up to speed?
Im sure you're supposed to play it starting with an upstroke. At least on a 8 string, not sure if it still applies on a 6 string but since you're picking the rhythm it may does. At the end of the day, if you can get it down it doesnt really matter xD
