In this tutorial i show you how to transpose a song in Guitar Pro 7.
This feature is useful if you have a song that was originally record in a drop tuning, typical of bands like Guns ‘n’ Roses, Thin Lizzy & Def Leppard.
Normally you would have to tune down the guitar but that can be a nuisance if you have a locking tremelo system or if you are working on a number of other songs at the same time.
This tutorial quickly explains how to ajust the tuning without changing any of the tablature.
Now everyone who is new to using the tab editing software can start to use the program very quickly using my guides and tutorials.

Thanks for the info. I was stuck on how to set up a capo in the software. This cleared things up!
i just realize that there this "one semitone down" and "one semitone up" to transpose if i wanna to stay in tuning i worked on.
Okay dumb question time, what good is transposing without changing the tablature? Sure the playback sounds different but if you're learning to play the song, and the tab is still written for a different tuning, if you play along with the tab it will still be incorrect? Dumb question I know but I cant get my head around it
Hi Tanth I feel your frustration, but please understand I am not part on The Guitar Pro team I just offer free help and advice to others on my YouTube channel.
One questions I have is regarding the ASIO driver. try downloading ASIO4All which is a free asio driver http://www.asio4all.org/ and use that.
I feel that the issue is driver related and this might help.

Any idea how to darken really light text that is almost impossible to read?
I just bought this and I can't find a video on how to use the built-in amps to play along. I feel like I just wasted 70 bucks on this software where I could have spent the money on buying the actual anthology of the artist. I just hear my guitar dry. I thought you were supposed to be able to mute the track and play along using the line in.
