My Def Leppard Playlist!
In this Hysteria guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great Def Leppard classic.
The tuning is standard tuning.
As with a lot of Def Leppard’s music from this era, there are a lot of guitar layers all over the place. So with this lesson I am not going to cover every little guitar part heard on the original recording, but instead, focus on what they would mostly play live.
I will demonstrate each guitar part in the order that it appears on the original recording. I will also mention whether it was a Steve Clark or Phil Collen part.
This is just a great song that with a ccouple of guitar players you can do a great rendition of. #hysteriaguitarlesson #defleppard #guitarcovers
Enjoy! Carl

The main riff and all the details on guitar are so beautiful in this music! It sounds perfect in a dreamy vibe more slow with delay and reverb. I'll try to record a video singing and playing it. Cheers!
I’m absorbed! Great breakdown!
Awesome video. I love Def Leppard. What effects pedals or amp are you using? Thanks!
A great song for guitar! This leads to (Restless Heart) When She Cries, (Martina McBride) This One's for the Girls and (Sara Evans, Radney Foster) A Real Fine Place to Start. Similar chords.
Joe Elliott said that this song has a country influence from Mutt Lange. The DL producer and cowriter listened to country while growing up in Rhodesia and South Africa.
you really should do a lesson for both "Dangerous" and "We Belong" both by Def Leppard. it would be greatly appreciated by many due to the songs not exactly being popular but have amazing guitar lines and riffs
Fractal with FRFR speakers? Nice job, thanks for posting.
Funny how at 9:34 you manage to say the wrong lyrics but the ones you did say honestly go really perfect with the song and sound awesome
Cool thanx for showing how to play it.
let me know what you think of my cover, Thank's I also left a like.
Thank u Carl. Really love this band. Rip Steve steamin Clark..😥
Rockman like x100 is the sound for this Album
Can you share the chorus and delay settings? This is spot on….
first chord sounds like pink floyds goodbye blue sky.
Love this jam, i was lucky to have my parents play this music around me. If anyone has a little time…. please I would appreciate some feedback on this guitar solo. Thank you ❤️🙏🏻
who wrote it?
Great lessons man. Thanks loads!
Plz plz – let's get rocked, there is absolutely no tutorial for it on you tube.
Carl, excellent choice. I'm old enough to have been listening to D.L. since their main stream "debut". Always wanted to learn this song, but like you I shied away from it, due to Lang's brilliant production and layering. You made it much more clear brother. Keep 'em coming. Thank you!
Theres not a single song I have wanted to play that you haven't taught….can't thank you enough…will definitely try out your masterclass sometime soon!
Have you ever needed someone so bad next
