Everything is so overwhelming right now. I have a baby on the way and have such awful fatigue, brain fog dizziness, and another pots symptoms. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to function and I really need to be thinking about getting a job when all I can do is stand for 15 minutes before I need to lay down again. Any suggestions for entry level jobs for people with pots? If anyone here has pretty bad pots and fatigue daily what do you do for work? I also have a spinal injury and too much standing, bending or lifting gives me intense pain.

  2. Hannah Hambridge says:

I totally get it! So good to hear someone describe how it feels to have cnstant brain fog. I like to describe it as life with lucid moments! Always surprises my husband how I can be so fast and full of humour great repartee for about 5 minutes maybe ten…..then dull the rest of the time. Always behind the conversation by about 30 seconds.

  3. Claira-jane Hardwick says:

I’m exactly the same as you, also I struggle with following instructions, I’ve tried but just can’t. Your videos are very interesting and extremely helpful! I’m struggling to know how to deal with it and what you’ve said is very true!

  4. My Stitchy Home says:

Aimee, have you been tested for Lyme disease? Could you have picked up Lyme disease on your honeymoon, or just before (like, from a tick)? The chronic conditions you've mentioned – TOPS, irritable bowel, chronic fatigue, migraine – are symptoms of Lyme disease.

I have severe, erosive osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia, so I understand chronic pain and fatigue. Brain fog is real…definitely.
Like you, I still want to be a cheerful person and take an optimistic view of things. Sure, I sometimes get depressed about my limitations, but I prefer to focus on what I CAN do, what I ENJOY, and how I can be an ENCOURAGER to others.

Thanks for being you! — Becca

I know exactly how you feel Aimer🙈
❄️I used to talk lots when I got out but ,now days I'm afraid because the wrong words blurt out
❄️ Burning the food 😋 quite a bit
❄️The one that kills me the most is…when I'm praying and forget what I was going to tell God 😔

    🌅What helps me:
💟To sleep : lavender oil ; sleep or meditation music on a low volume.
💟Doing a check in with myself that I am here in the moment , so I don't have thoughts flying through my mind

Thanks 👍 for the tips did not think of the electrolytes

  6. L says:

A lot of times I feel like I'm in a tunnel and can only see what is directly in front of me, forget where I am or it takes me all morning until I can finally concentrate. Even feel like my vision gets somewhat blurry. Also say the wrong words. Reading is awful, I don't remember or understand what I'm reading. Multitasking also. It's awful. Good luck. Ashwaghanda 300 mg helps short term if I need it.

  7. Lauren Utley says:

If I know I need to remember something but I know I’ll forget I’ll either write it on my hand or arm. I also forget why I walk into rooms all the time so I have to re trace my steps constantly lol

  8. G D says:

Interesting, my measure is math as well. I created a save food list for my self. I take 50,000IU vitamin D 3, high amount of Brewers yeast more than recommended. Also, fat fast. I checked some recommended diet like diet for leaky gut , information, and so on. I drink garlic tea.

3rd comment 😂. I should have paused the video every time I thought of something I wanted to comment on😂. I really need to try to limit social media and watching videos and movies. I totally use those things to help me focus on SOMETHING, you called me out there! What kinds of things do you do to occupy yourself when you're resting/lying down/in a flare? I need some ideas that get me off my phone!

  11. hbnpiano says:

I have a bit of dyslexia as well as brain fog from POTS, so that really makes things tricky! Numbers and letters are often mixed up, and I forget everything! Plus taking forever to think of certain words. I also have a paper planner, and set so many reminders on my phone! It can definitely be a challenge, but I laugh at myself as much as I can. I'd love to hear more funny brain fog stories!! 😂🤭

  12. hbnpiano says:

Brain fog is sooo weird and often funny! I laugh at myself often 😅. The other day I was trying to tell my husband that there were big mushrooms growing beside our tomato plants, and that I pulled them out, but I couldn't think of the word 'mushrooms'. I said 'marshmallows' instead!! He loves marshmallows, so that got us laughing, and imagining we could grow marshmallows on a plant😂.

  13. Ahava Stein says:

My brain fog was diagnosed as attention deficit disorder I also have chronic pain and have trouble falling and staying asleep. I never developed my condition it was always my life so I never had a chance to really live and develope normally. I was really hyperactive as a kid and I think it was because I was uncomfortable in my body and trying to run away from it or just trying to distract myself.

  14. Gina Farina says:

Hi Aimee, I experience everything you mentioned in the video. I’m almost 18 and I find it very hard to focus on things I need to, with graduation, getting my drivers license and thinking about jobs etc… I become very overwhelmed because I can literally feel all the thoughts bouncing around in my head. Sometimes I find it hard to feel happy or excited because there is too much overwhelming stimuli, and I almost forget my grad or getting my license entirely. When you get brain fog do you ever feel a disconnection from reality? Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a virtual reality or a video game. These things seem to be worse when my pain or anxiety flares up.
Thanks for the video Aimee. 🙂

  15. Ruth Gregory says:

You described my situation too! However I am 66 years old so I just say I am having a senior moment when I can't think of a words (which happens a lot). I'm like you too in that I have to write everything down or I forget. I'm horrible with names so I make a point to write down a new person's name and practice saying it. Times are hard for me too. For instance, I might get up in the morning, check my calendar, see that I have an appointment at say 3:00, and if I don't set my alarm to remind me to start getting ready for the appt. it will completely slip my mind. I could go on and on but I will stop here and just say that I am so glad to hear that somebody else understands exactly what I am going through. Thank you Aimee!

  16. Hope B. says:

Same but my significant other isn't exactly supportive and I am very sensitive about it medical marijuana has helped me a lot because it calms me and destresses I am still learning to figure it out

  17. Heather Towe says:

I live in the south and my teenage son says " mom has brain farts" lol. I keep trying to get him to say fog. When I'm in a big group of people,I usually don't talk much cause I always say something stupid.

  18. Gwen says:

I personally take vitamin B supplements I find this helps me with the fog. Thank you so very much for taking the time to talk about all that you do. I know how much you have help me.
