I have to honestly say this is the best song ever nothing but truth right here I ride by my home place often and I actually can't believe its still there I just sit and look sometimes I cry sometimes I smile its not much but it is where I come from

  2. Stephanie says:

My parents are selling our childhood home of 25+ years, the only house I’ve ever lived in except for college. Sometimes forever lasts for years but feels like a second. It’s a unique kind of heartbreak to move on from a place you’ve known as home, I’ll miss it fiercely

  3. Chris Reed says:

A couple times I've driven past the 2 homes I grew up in.. never went inside but, walking by them takes me back to when I was there…Everyone has some Attachment to where they grew up..

  4. TONY ANZELLINO says:

This song reminds me of the house that made me. Now all I have are memories, my mom passed while having an operation and my dad passed from cancer. On January 7th 2016, the town was hit by wildfires which destroyed 95% of it. I along with other people were unable to rebuild due to toxic compounds in the soil (from a refinery/smelter nearby). All the photographs were lost but i have the momories. Miranda, you brought tears to my eyes but your sweet smile wiped many away and reminded me that no-one can steal my memories. Make your day a great one, take care and stay safe. 🎼🎸🎸🤗🤗👍👍🌷🌷🌷☕☕

    Such warmth, reflection and beauty.

Years ago, I took my wife back to her childhood home in Pensacola, now owned a young couple. We stopped by on a Saturday and my wife told them her story. They invited us back the following day. As we walked in each room, my wife shared her family's story, memories and history. As our visit was coming to an end, the young lady gave my wife a gift: the original front door, door knob of the house- they saved it when they remodeled. My wife has one half of the knob and her sister the other. Needless to say, the moments of presentation were water-filled.
I cant help but think M of this treasured moment when listening to this song, and I too well up with tears.
    Bless you Mirands❤

  6. CTS says:

Just sold our family home we all grew up in in December. Cant help but cry. My cat buried under the old Magnolia tree which was cut down. Life moves on.

  7. P Wilson says:

It’s not the house, it’s the memories of days gone by. Time flies. Life is a roll of TP. The closer you get to the end the faster it goes. You won’t find yourself. You can never go back.

  8. Jennifer Cottrell says:

This song gets me everytime….growing up with mushrooms in my bathroom and mildew on the walls I still would go back to my kerosene lit little living room with my mom and dad and sister and my dog

  9. Tony Heaton says:

I was born in Northwest Okalahoma. I love this song. I'm disgusted by how a womanizing piece of shit from Oklahahom, Blake Shelton, treated Miranda. Much like another Piece of Shit Okie, Garth Brooks, treated his wife. I married my wife, also an okie, 38 years ago in April. I would never treat her like Garh and Blake treated their wives.

  10. Chris Ratcliffe says:

I carved my initials into the wood rail in my bedroom closet when I helped my mom move from the house I was raised in. That was 10 years ago…I have thought about going back but I haven't. I have often wondered if the little boy that got my room has seen that inscription and wondered who that was. I think I will go back soon. Man how times have changed. But I wouldn't trade the times for anything. I love you Momma.

  11. Lee Machado says:

Of all her great music this is my favorite song of Miranda's, always makes me homesick for the house that built me, that some other family owns now and I think of all our pets we buried under a willow tree out by the barn especially my favorite cat 🙁

  12. TheeAnointedOne says:

Sometimes the place your grow or built can be a path to a life thats more important or interesting than you'd like to think
As I was building I found a place that he can dwell in and be me with him. As interesting life is going, we can only build so much that so much is enough
We can also build that of which yee think is the best but good
    Yee I speak also to
