I am going to buy Notion 6 to compose but if I want a better more realistic sound of my pieces do I need to get a DAW??
Great summary. But there is still a problem with recording, importing and playing the sustain piano pedal in this software. For composers who use the piano heavily it is very disappointing, and hard to understand, since this is supposed to integrate with a DAW (which I assume can play, record and import signal for the sustain pedal). Apparently the problem was signaled back in 2011 and Presonus is ignoring its customers about this issue: https://forums.presonus.com/viewtopic.php?f=167&t=20797&sid=394a8fbd8072f85363cce3a8890ef74b
Also, I would have liked to see live how you go about composing to video and how the voices from MIDI would be distributed on the score.

The title is correct, after trying every DAW/Score Editor on the planet, this is the best. Proper midi CC dynamic Dimis and Cresc …yes please.
