@vanhalenrox78 We could go on all day about this so I'll keep it short. The Studio and Standard both have the same wood, you should know this. Maple top and mahogany body and neck. The only thing the studio lacks is the binding and other ascetics that don't affect the tone whatsoever. I've had two studios, one heavier than my Standard and one lighter. And honestly the lighter studio not only has a heaver tone but better sustain as well. But like you said it all comes down to preference.
@vanhalenrox78 I hate to disagree but the Studio definitely has a deeper tone. I have had two Studios and both are deeper sounding than my Standard ever was. For my particular taste it's perfect. There's nothing wrong with the Standards, I played one for a good 2-3 years and loved it, but the Studio was always heavier and more crunchy.

I have never been a fan of this color as well. I seem to like solid colors and even then, I still get picky. On topic though, I will say that this guy plays pretty good.

It really depends on your preferences. If you like a brighter tone, go for the Standard. If you prefer a deeper tone, go for the Studio. I like them both very much.

I have a 75 Spider III as well. Just watch out for the Black Boxes that have hit others who have the Spiders (75, 120, 150 & the HD's). It's on the Line6 forums and pretty much makes your amp useless if you get it. If you do, you'll know it.
