I love this reaction vid. I would love to see you do a reaction to the live version of Every Breaking Wave. Bono basically carries the song with little more than a piano behind him, and it's beautiful beyond words.

  2. eboe says:

Emotion is the key for Bono, 100%. That's what makes him the awesome singer he is, and why he says he can't double his vocals in the studio because he never sings them exactly the same twice.

  3. Paola Rivera says:

I had never thought of the vocalization parts of this song as anguished cries but it makes SENSE and it really comes through in this performance. I love it!

  4. Roberto T.M. says:

Amazing! Thanks for your analysis. And you should do another video of Bono, there are hundreds of better performances by him, including falsetto voices etc. I will suggest Mysterious Ways in 93, it has all he can do with the voice 🙂

  5. Arch Stanton says:

His singing basically went downhill badly from the zoo TV tour onwards, I used to be able to ignore his douchebag activities outside music due to his voice but not anymore.

There is a new LEGEND LIVE GROUP PERFORMANCE "BIGMAMA KILLING VERSE DINGO", MUST REACT, U WON'T REGERET, u will be mindblowing,,

  7. Dale Cooper says:

Sorry to post again, but I have to add, that Bono's voice is the voice of an angry, heartbroken kid that lost his mom when he was a child and he's never gotten over it and he's trying to get her back. Every night.

  8. Dale Cooper says:

Not speaking badly about the man currently, he's still my favorite rock singer of all time, even though I've only loved a couple tracks off each album for 15 years or so. But boy, from 1985 to 1988 or so, he was incredible. I mean, chills. Every song. I don't know how he hit those notes every night on tours that lasted more than a year. I mean, Live Aid at Bad? I love Queen but U2 stole that show and defined it.
