Getting out the door and going for a run is a fairly straightforward affair, in fact, it’s the simplicity of throwing on some shoes and getting outside that appeals to so many of us.

That being said, having some proper run form, well that’s not as easy as it might sound because our unique running mechanics are dependant on our own strength, flexibility and also, how our bodies are built.

Everyone has differing running mechanics, but ultimately, the goal is to run with as little effort as we can muster, be as efficient as possible, and crucially all the while without getting injured! Mark is here to explore what we mean by perfect running form!

    My knees, balls of my feet, neck, and front of my thighs hurt so much whenever I’m running, I have no clue what I’m doing wrong 😭

    No matter how much I watch “how to run” videos I still feel like I’m doing something weird I the way I ‘cycle’ my feet around, or maybe it’s my hips. Could my hyper mobility be causing me this issue maybe? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I almost feel like my hips and knees aren’t helping me push my feet forwards but holding them back in a way

    Hi,
    Last run a question popped up in my head. What do you do with your abs? I somewhat contract them because of controlled breathing. But then I played around for a bit and decided to contract them throughout a run, which was a proper ab workout. Then again, I am afraid that this might lead to muscle overload. So my question, how much should a runner actually contract their core to have perfect form?

    I enjoyed the video especially on the discussion of landing forward foot stride starting at 6:00. I would like to have you discuss and opinion on how essential is the other non landing rear foot in running form. Side note where in most cases the heel is almost kicking the glute….does this affect running form

    It's strange that in Africa it comes naturally. Nobody tells a 5yr old about form. Just start running barefoot as soon as you start walking.
